a Michelin star. Calpe Port has a plethora of seafood restaurants while Moraira town has an international choice of cuisine served by its many eateries. If it is more rustic fare you desire then a trip inland to Jalon Valley is a must and for wine tasting in a bodega and sampling the traditional almond pastries.
SEE A holiday in the Costa Blanca can be so much more than just sun, sea and sand. There are so many sites which represent the culture, traditions and charms of Spain including the city of Valencia. The stunning City of Arts and Sciences houses a 3D cinema, the Principe Felipe Science museum and europe’s biggest aquarium all within its incredible modern architecture. It’s a wonderful contrast to the elegant historical buildings such as the Torre del Micalet bell tower which has amazing views from the top and the cathedral was constructed in a variety of style over centuries.
DO If you want a change from any of the 170 coves and beaches and the sparkling sea you may like to visit one of the many family theme parks such as Terra Mitica, aqualandia, mundomar, Terra natura and aqua natura. A short boat trip will take you to La Isla de Benidorm, a small uninhabited island which is great for snorkelling. Take a tour inland to the 11th Century Moorish castle at Guadalest then discover the Fuentes de Algar Waterfalls, a beautiful natural park where you can bathe in the crystal clear waters.
