Moving On
''God told me to give you this," the man explained while stacking three big boxes before Tekle, who had come to the Tigre Province seeking direction. The boxes con tained two large horn loudspeakers, a microphone and an amplifier.
"Praise the Lord!" Tekle exclaimed. "He did not give me wings as I asked, but something better—a voice that will reach thousands."
He went to markets, schools and public places with this gift. His audiences numbered between ten and thir ty thousand. On a visit to Adwa, his home town, he found multiplied thousands of students and teachers gathered at the Queen Sheba School to celebrate United Nations Day. The principal gave Tekle permission to preach.
His sermon had hardly begun when seven demon- possessed people started gnashing their teeth, foaming at the mouth and screaming. Several shouted, "Call the town ambulance!" Others dragged the unfortunates to Tekle, who cast the demons out in the name of Jesus.
