That night in .Adairsville, there was a nice apostolic crowd, but there was also a 28 voice guest choir in attendance from a local Trinitarian Church of God in Christ. .After Gus Hogan gor through preaching that night, the whole choir jumped up and said, "Baptize us in Jesus' name". When I saw that, I was impressed, .inspired and even more excited.
That's the kind of preacher Gus Hogan was and that's what inspired me to be the type of minister that I am. I'm talking about a man who once walked 111.to a 150 member Trinitarian denominational church at 10 o'clock in the morning. He stayed until about 2:30 p.m. preaching, witnessing and teaching the apostolic doctrine. He preached it so well that when service ended, the church was no longer Trinitarian; today that church is a Jesus
Name Apostolic Pentecostal oneness church.
In those days I was in my twenties, a young minister, and eager to learn all I could. I was also his driver so I had the chance to ask him questions. I will never forget the time we were traveling north to Pastor Mattie Holland's church in Louisville, Kentucky. I posed a particular question to him that I thought I already knew the answer to.
