ear Perimeter Family, We have been praying, leaning into God and looking forward expectantly to what He will do in and through us. I wonder what He will do through all of us during this Christmas season? The Christmas season is ripe with opportunities to reach out to others. Perhaps God will use us to bring a little joy to this world! If we are dependent on Him and surrender ourselves, He can do extraordinary things through us ordinary people. He will penetrate hearts that are filled with anxiety, depression, despair and overwhelming fears. Our Lord has come, let every heart prepare Him room and see the wonders of His Love! Our source of strength and love is Jesus, so a top priority is time spent with Him in prayer! Ask God who needs your time and attention. Ask Him to show you where to serve. This Advent Guide has a variety of ways to serve alongside our nonprofits in your city in order to care for our neighbors. There are also ideas and ways to extend invitations to friends and neighbors to join your family and ours in celebrating Christmas with us. I think you would be surprised at how lonely and disconnected people feel (don’t be fooled by their Facebook or Instagram!). Join God in bringing joy to His world. Our weary world is in need of a thrill of hope. Truly He taught us to love one another. His law is love and His gospel is peace.
