(2020 Annual Meeting Recap)
Due to current events, we held our 58th Annual Meeting virtually on April 21st. Participants heard remarks from our President/ CEO, Marshall Boutwell and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Keith Everson. Members also had the opportunity to submit questions prior to and during the meeting. Following the meeting with members, the Board of Directors held their regular business meeting and made the following changes:
David Welden is now Chairman of the Board. He formerly served as the Executive Vice President of Administration for Gwinnett Technical College. David joined the Board of Directors in 2015 and served as Chairman of the Supervisory Committee for two years.
The Board also voted to expand the number of volunteers from nine to 11. We are pleased to welcome Walt Martin and MaryBeth Thomas to our Board of Directors.
Walt is the Chief Operations Officer for Gwinnett County Public Schools. He has worked for the school system since 1991. MaryBeth is currently the Principal at Hilliard A. Wilbanks Middle School in Habersham County and was named the 2019 Georgia
Association of Secondary School Principals “Middle School Principal of the Year”.
We also added a member to our Supervisory Committee:
Jeff Padgett has been a member of our Augusta-area Advisory Board since 2015. Previously he worked for the State of Georgia for 32 years before retiring. Jeff has more than 40 years of experience serving in a variety of local and state level credit union leadership positions.
