We are at a crossroads in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion locally, nationally, and globally. Recent tragedies have highlighted the serious need for continued work in promoting understanding, acceptance, and taking action against injustices related to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, ability and religion. This course will help you take action to transform the current culture that perpetuates lack of access, bias, harassment, and violence.
Diversity Awareness and Customer Service
This workshop provides insight regarding concepts of diversity, inclusion, equity, social justice, privilege and power. Participants will understand the importance of increasing awareness and sensitivity to diversity in the workplace while exploring the cultural barriers that perpetuate oppression within organizations. Employees learn how to operationalize customer service principles (e.g., build and maintain a culture and climate based upon mutual respect and caring) by exploring concepts related to justice, equity, and inclusion.
Cross Cultural Communication: Learning
to Speak Healing Words
This course utilizes interactive exercises, group discussions and expert facilitation to explore the impact of daily communication in the work environment. Effective communication, specifically cross-cultural communication, can create a climate of service, equality and appreciation while improving the quality of our work and customer relationships. Employees will understand the impact of what they say and of how they “say” it (both their verbal and non-verbal communication).
Overcoming Unconscious Bias: Awareness, Knowledge, and Competency
This course provides insight into how we think, respond, and behave as a result of acculturation, socialization, and inculcation. Insight will be provided on the brains’ ability to imprint thoughts and behaviors (including racism) and how we are conditioned to recognize differences and experience identities. Participants will explore the impact of day-to-day micro aggressions and biases in employee and customer interaction.

Acting Fundamentals for Professionals
Rarely do job descriptions include “must have on-camera
skills.” However, in one way or another, our jobs, especially this year, have required our developing a virtual presence. Acting Fundamentals for Presentations develops the skills needed
by anyone tasked with developing an on-screen persona and delivery. The 20-hour course walks presenters through the basics of script structure and breakdown, vocal techniques, acting techniques, and filming techniques. Students practice presentation skills and engage in guided critiques of their work. Contract training and stand-alone elective sections are available. Online course only: 5-days/4 hours each. Cost: $999
Contract Training: Reservation List. Please call 678.466.5085 for information
Crowd-funding Basics
Crowdfunding balances what you need, from whom you need
it, and how much time you have to invest. Your selection always depends on which way you want to go. To help refine your options, this course explores the types of crowdfunding sites available (who is their audience?), their fees and policies (how much do they cost?), and their typical posting needs (how much time do you have?). Potential funding platforms—like Kickstarter, Patreon, CircleUp, Causes, and LendingClub— form the basis of examination and discussion. Participants will conduct their own needs assessment and match what they have with what they want. They will leave with specific “cheat sheets” that summarize various platform’s potentials and pit-falls and feel more able
to make informed decisions. Contract training and stand-alone elective sections are available.
Online course only: 1-day/2 hours. Cost: $250
