"Don't settle for average. Bring your best to the moment. Then, whether it fails or succeeds, at least you know you gave all you had. We need to live the best that's in us" -Angela Bassett
PRESIDENT'S RED PRINT
Happy New Year Sorors! It is the start of a brand new year. What do you intend to do? Many years ago, I stopped making resolutions, which turned out to be another list of things to do for me that I never completed. However, once I started to set intentions for myself, it was easier for me to think about the things that I value and the things that I enjoy instead of checking boxes off on a list that I did not refer back to after the first few weeks of the year.
I encourage you to take some time to reflect on the past year, set some intentions for this new year and move forward with the intent to make your hopes your reality, show more love and let go of those things that do not serve you. Setting intentions have helped me to be more explicit about the things that I invite into my life.
As we set intentions for our personal lives, we must also do the same for Delta. It is the responsibility of each of us to ensure that our chapter remains healthy and happy as well. Please be active on your committees, as they are the lifeblood of our organization, support and participate in all of our chapter events as they give us energy and help us to earn money to support our community. Finally, keep the sisterly bonds tight by frequently reaching out to sorors you know and acquaint yourselves with sorors you don’t know. Let’s keep thriving in this new year!
In the Bond of Sisterhood,
