Abhyāsa becomes stable when it is practiced for a prolonged time without undue interruptions and with a respectful attitude.
दृष्टानश्रविकविषयवितृष्णस्य िशीकारसञ्ज्ज्ञा िैराग्यमद॥१.१५॥
Detachment that is found in a person who has no desire for things known to give
enjoyment is called vaśīkāra vairāgya.
तत्परं परुषख्यातेगथणिैतृष्ण्यमद।
Patanjali Yoga Sutra 1.16: Tatparaṁ puruṣakhyāterguṇavaitṛṣṇyam
Detachment that is superior to vaśīkāra vairāgya, which is found in a self-realized person, has no desire for the guṇas i.e. Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas. This means that it has no interest in the material world. It is called Para vairāgya.
