Page 21 - Introduction to investing in Gold
P. 21

We’re all different, but as we live in the same world, we are impacted by the same things.
Different, but similar.
Different – that’s obvious. But similar because interest rates, inflation, and the cost of living affect us all.
Things are getting tough, and doing nothing is not an option. You’ve got to do something, and that’s what this book is really about.
Before I get into how I look at the world, I want to talk to YOU and explain how some of the challenges we’re facing could impact your investments. Your life. You want to live – not exist.
What worked years ago doesn’t necessarily work now.
You may only know about one kind of asset (such as property), so that’s where you’ve put all your money. But investments tend to be cyclical, so just because things have worked in the past doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll work in the future.
So, where do you start? It’s subjective because I need to know where you’re starting from! If you’ve already decided that gold is for you, then you may want to just skim this chapter, but if you’re debating what asset class to look at, you’ll hopefully find this interesting.
Here’s an insight into my thought process when looking at investment opportunities. It’s very much an overview, but it gives you an idea of how I think about things.
