Mining. The shares went from around 15 cents to over $10. My investment meant I could privately educate my daughter. Some friends also invested, and one was so grateful that he has let us use his ski lodge for free for the past four years. My daughter is now a good skier!
Of course, they don’t all do this; it was an exceptionally good return. But if you pick several junior mining companies in a well-diversified portfolio, you’ve got more chance of getting a good result.
I don’t like to have all my eggs in one basket, so I also invest in producers and other assets as well. But I like the feeling that my life could change again, at any time, if one of my junior miners finds something. I use the B.R.I.D.G.E. system to help me invest in this sector (see Chapter 7 for more information on that).
I appreciate this sounds like I’m blindfolded and throwing darts at a dartboard, but I’m not – there is a method behind it, which we’ll look at later.
