life as well as general health is hindered. Treatment such as therapy can help people with panic disorder get better.
You or someone you know probably has one or more phobias. A phobia is an excessive and rational fear reaction. Some phobias are just irritating while others have more severe impacts. A phobia becomes harmful when it begins to interfere with work, school, and personal relationships. Phobias such as trypophobia, the fear of irregular patterns or small holes in clusters, can be harmless and only slightly irritating. Other phobias, such as social phobia, which is also known as a social anxiety disorder, can be crippling to someone’s daily life. Social phobia is the irrational worry about social situations and can lead to self-isolation. Most phobias can be treated with therapy such as cognitive-behavioral therapy.
To conclude, fear is essential to our survival but too much of it is harmful. Fear is an emotion that has been present in humans since the beginning of mankind. It is meant to protect us from dangers and threats. However, excessive fear is a danger in itself. Anxiety disorders and phobias are centered around too much fear. While some cases of anxiety can be self-treated, and some phobias aren't a concern, it is still important that you inform your doctor of any symptoms you might have. Be conscious of your fears because it doesn't take long for a harmless fear to evolve into a crippling disorder.
