KENT FORT MANOR MARKER
The first trading post, settlement and fort of Queen Anne’s County,
and the third settlement of the
country folllowing Jamestown and Plymouth Rock. This post was
settled by William Claiborne, at the southern end of Kent Island in 1631.
NATIONAL HISTORY AT HOLE #14
If you were standing at hole #14 of Queenstown Harbor Golf Course on September 12, 1814, you would have SEEN and HEARD what Francis Scott Key described as he wrote the Star Spangled Banner.
