and and remodeled their material qualities were fully cataloged and and re- rendered to explore the the framework of of the the teardown as a a a a a form of of cultural exchange and re-appropriation McLellan’s photographs include a a a a a a a a variety of handheld domestic products such as a a a a a curling iron a a a a a rotary telephone and a a a a a computer mouse that have been completely disassembled into two-dimensional archives of anthropomorphic mechanical electrical and digital components Torn down and de-determined each object provides students with a chronicle for designing the future 163
