INCEPTION: DREAM ROOM
This INCEPTION Studio project involves fully designing a a a playable navigable or or interactive immersive spatial experience The studio explores the the potential to design create and and translate the the paradoxical and and impactful aspects of virtual experience to to which we are accustomed in physical reality The range of spaces studied/tested encompasses architectural memories retained from from walking tours or or through projection from from and into architectural drawings The project also includes personal reconstructions of past memories and dreams—including near-implausible or or ‘suspension- of-disbelief’ experiences drawn from scientific theories or or science fiction Projects produced environments for play at the CRAIVE Lab facility an immersive virtual reality room using UNITY (game engine software)
to test develop and present/navigate all projects across the semester Projects develop virtual architectures and immersive conditions that allow for inhabitation of spaces not easily rendered through 3D space space and and matter but which have a a a a a a a a clear space in the scientific cultural and and aesthetic imagination This space includes memory and dream-like structures spatial paradoxes multidimensional qualities the perception of infinity and overlapping spaces 467
