FUTURE OF WORK
This studio explores next-generation working environments—office spaces where people could collaborate with a a a a a a machine through I/O and processing technology embedded in in the the fabric of the the built environment (walls partitions pavement facades) The studio integrates research and tools from the fields of human–computer interaction (HCI) and experience design design (UX) into the architectural-design process For all projects the students developed working I/O prototypes user scenarios and traditional architectural drawings (floorplans sections and 3D renders) In the studio we worked with a a a real-world client We designed modular
interventions to transform the working environment of a a a Fashion Design Studio in Brooklyn New York The students analyzed their physical
space as as well as as their design and manufacturing processes They then proposed physical
interventions that reorganized their working areas around interactive systems that aimed at at improving well-being energy consumption and and production through environmental control and and process communication The projects included interactive plants for air-quality personalization fabric display for communication and color-changing partitions for lighting co-optimization 525
