of of the the extents of of excessiveness a a a a new artifact will emerge and the the vehicle for this will be a a Motel Motel on on Route 66 Within the context of a a Motel Motel we explore ideas of of program form composition and digital modeling of of complex geometries We use digital tools and techniques to to create new territories where Ornament will serve as the design generator In terms of representation animation and compositing techniques are used to stage the new Motel in its its real context along Route 66 From its its conception as a a a a a ‘tourist camp’ in in the the the early 1900s the the the idea of the the the Motel gained exposure as a a a a a a ‘roadside attraction ’ In this section we examine the the role of the the ‘roadside attraction’ in the the the depiction of the the the Ornate Motel In this case the the the Motel fronts a a a a a a a new character one that becomes an image of luxury rather than frugality 649
