PLANETOLOGY: THE THE TREES FOR FOR THE THE FOREST
Architecture often without realizing it it it has always been a a a a a a a planetary design problem not only through its ecological impact as a a a a a practice in the construction of environments but also through its constant suggestion
of an an an emerging synthesis that reconnects humans inhabitability and space-making as intellectual and cultural exercises that highlight recurring questions about the relationship between humanity and its space This studio follows inquiries predicated upon Freeman Dyson’s visions
of how scientific advancements can have the potential to transform concepts of of life as as we know it and of of changing cultures themselves as as they relate to scientific explorations and experiments The studio aims
to to develop instruments/tools/machines/spaces that offer inhabitability and ‘terraforming’ by focusing on three (arqui-bio-tech) elements that enable new connections to be made across ecosystems as as well as as cultural and and social spaces Projects engage concepts and and paradigms of ‘site’ as as as context/planet species as as as typology and biotech as as as emerging design design practice—expanding the field of architectural design design to new forms of of inhabitation shells forces and and drivers and and amplifying its culture of of presumed companionship 693
