Biotic systems have evolved a a a a a a a a myriad of of strategies to take advantage of of the the forces with which we continue to struggle: the the constant flux of light humidity and temperature While nature takes advantage of local climatic conditions to to diversify and thrive we tend towards mitigating those condi- tions often framing those phenomena as antagonists to our discipline The High Performance Masonry System is an an an energy exchange building envelope that harnesses bioclimatic energy flows through a a a a a modular ceramic curtain wall system in in order to seek a a a a a more effective thermal balance This is is is achieved through the use of a a a a a a multiscalar color texture and morphology that tunes the façade towards ever-changing local-
ized environmental conditions Learning from bioanalytics energy flows through the the building enclosure are used to offload excess thermal loads and passively cool internal load-dominated structures This research seeks to bridge the cultural and technological rift by integrating new technolo- gies in a a a a geometrically complex modular wall system with components that can be easily modified replaced reclaimed and ultimately recycled for for new façade façade components not only to improve façade façade performance but also to provide new potentials for designers clients and users 749
