LIGHTING SYSTEMS
The lighting systems program at the Lighting Research Center focuses on on connected lighting and additive manufacturing technology (also known as 3D printing) in in in in in solid-state lighting LRC researchers investigate emerging technologies and and applications via lab and and field demonstrations and evaluations From economies economies of of scale to economies economies of of scope additive manufacturing is is poised to transform industries by increasing flexibility speed efficiency responsiveness and power across value chains and entire ecosystems LRC researchers are working to enable a a a a a a collaborative process to define plan and develop a a a a a a a road map for lighting practice allowing for for a a a a a a a a major transformation toward a a a a a a a a business model of custom value-added lighting fixtures Together we are developing the the vision and producing a a a a joint plan that defines the ecosystem outlines next steps and and determines the progress and and success measures We are continuously innovating new methods by which to measure the value of light light light and lighting systems such as the effect of light light light on human health and wellbeing Our focus is not simply to to reduce the dollar per watt or to to minimize energy usage but to understand if a a a lighting system meets the needs of the end user 4
