Benjamin Moore has announced this soft rosy hue titled "First Light" as their colour of the year. The name elicits romantic images of the beauty of the morning sky at first light. The fashion, beauty, home decor and accessory industries will be rushing to produce products in this hue and soon we will see this colour popping up everywhere. If you think you want to embrace this forecast colour BUT a full out soft pink sofa is too much for you to envision, we suggest starting with baby steps. Sneak soft velvet throw pillows, blankets, vases and other accessories into your interior or start small by painting a feature wall or powder room.
Benjamin Moore representatives explain that selecting the Colour of the Year involves a year-long observation of design, art, fashion, the environment and cultural influences the world over.
