To the very West of England’s border and therefore to the far East of Wales, you will find Herefordshire and The Marches linking arms along a well-trodden historical route of bloody battles, but which is now a peaceful alliance of scenic joy and bountiful trade.

Famous for its Hereford Cattle, the distinctive red and cream beasts put Herefordshire on the map all over the world for their tender flavoursome meat. The county’s nutrient-rich soil providing
a complimentary plethora of earthy produce and ingredients, inspiring artisan producers from bread to rapeseed oils, honeys and preserves, crisps and an abundance of beverages. Herefordshire turns its hops into beer, grapes into wine, blackcurrants into cassis and cordial, even
potatoes into gin and vodka, and, most famously, apples into cider. The original home of brand icons Bulmers, Westons, Chase and Tyrrells, food and farming is the lifeblood of the county.
