Astounding...
There are so many things to see and do in the National Park, with a landscape that offers a legacy of spectacular mountain ranges, internationally renowned geology, bountiful wildlife and diverse recreational opportunities. It covers an area of 1347 km2 (520 miles2) and guess what? Pencelli Castle Caravan & Camping Park is situated right
in the middle. A holiday in Wales would not be complete without climbing the Brecon Beacons, the highest mountain in the South of Britain. To walk from Pencelli Castle to the highest peak, Pen-y-Fan, takes a little over three hours. The path leads up past the ancient Church of Llanfeugan with it’s 2000 year old Yew trees, through open
fields and onto the Brecon Beacons. Following sheep tracks and ridges, the views are breathtaking. The terrain is mainly gently sloping and grassy. Another spectacular area to explore is Ystradfellte with Porth yr Ogof Cave and a series of wonderful Waterfalls.
