Brecon Cathedral

Brecon Cathedral’s history goes back to the Normans and it has a 16th Century
tithe barn. It is open every day. There are some steps into the cathedral and plans
are in place to enable full accessibility. Please contact the Cathedral if you are a
wheelchair user.
How to get there: The cathedral (LD3 9DP) is just off the B4520, Priory Hill, 1/2
mile/800m from Brecon town centre.

Public Transport: Town buses 40A and 40B (TC) stop by the cathedral.
Parking: There is a pay and display car park with disabled spaces next to the cathedral
and access to the cathedral is through a wheelchair accessible gate.
Nearest EV Charging: Morrisons Brecon, Free Street, LD3 7SE.
Facilities: There is an accessible café on site and a gift and book shop next door in the
tithe barn. There are many cafes, pubs and shops in the town centre.
Toilets: The toilets, including a disabled access toilet, are situated next to the café and
there are also toilets in the cathedral.
