Your nick name is Steps, where does that come from? It's a long story...
In this edition we will interview and get to know one of the most consistent and reliable players in the First XV over the last few seasons – Davey Herdman. It is fair to say that Davey’s approach to the game is straight forward and effective whether it is with ball in hand crashing through would be tacklers or in defence making tackle after tackle.
Having recently spent some time side lined with a nasty shoulder injury we find out how his re-hab went, how things are now and how he feels the season is going.
How is your shoulder after the injury?
Still not 100% but what do you expect when you have to hit all of Darren Witcombs rucks every game.
How have you found life in the First XV and Division 1 this season so far?
It's been good so far obviously losing to Brynmawr was a disappointment, but it's clear to see how much the team has improved this year
What has Andy Powell brought to the team this season?
He's bought the team together a lot and there's a good team spirit now. He's a very good technical coach, I think he gets the best out of each player.
What are the high and low points of the season so far?
Beating Penallta was a high point and losing to Brynmawr.
What are the goals for the rest of the season?
We need to keep pushing otherwise all the hard work until this point will be wasted!
