              59% of respondents indicated that they are experiencing difficulty in recruiting for specific roles. These roles include;
• Project managers,
• Engineers (IT),
• Childcare staff,
• Procurement roles,
• Accountancy and finance roles,
• Care workers,
• On-call firefighters,
• Senior management.
9,496 unique job postings were made between January 2018 and January 2019. The median posting duration for these postings was 22 days which is below the average duration for all other occupations and companies in the region.71
Barriers to Training
55% of respondents reported that they experience barriers to training. The majority stated that they are un- able to spare staff time (58%). This was followed by ‘difficulty in finding training providers who can deliver training where or when we want it’ and ‘lack of funds for the training/training is expensive’.
The majority of respondents indicated that they have an awareness of the funding programmes available to them for training.
