Dinedor History Explored

From the River Wye, using lanes and footpaths ascending Dinedor Ridge, down through lanes to Dinedor village hall for refreshments and some historical information and displays.
Back up to Dinedor Camp Iron Age Hillfort, returning through the lanes for a pub lunch or drink (pay on the day).

Catch the Hay Ho! Bus from Hereford and alight at Peterchurch
in the Golden Valley.
This walk explores some of the least well known spots of the Golden Valley where the leaders, authors of a local walks book, will point out some of the unusual facts and features of the area. Some stiles and climbs between the sleepy villages of Peterchurch and Dorstone. Bus fares payable on the day.

A geology and landscape walk, including a look at the building stones of prominent buildings along the way.
From Colwall, we will follow the approximate path of the GeoPark Way Trail and end the walk at Ledbury Station. The walk will be taken at a moderate pace to allow ample opportunity to view and discuss the landscape features. (Train fare payable on the day).
