Operation Hurricane 1952
Here are a few items from the BNTVA collection from Operation Hurricane, Britain’s first atomic test. The bomb was detonated on 3rd October 1952 inside the hold of HMS Plym which was moored in the Montebello Islands off the coast off the coast of Western Australia.
