Family Days Out
15C Hampton Court Castle, with its vast award-winning gardens complete with a maze and Orangery Café will wow garden and history lovers. For something more intimate Stockton Bury Gardens, run by RHS judge, garden writer and author Tasmin Westhorpe, offers a more casual day out. Look out for workshops and events and visit their delicious Tythe Barn Café too.
Nature lovers will adore nearby Queenswood Country Park Arboretum and Bodenham Lake Nature Reserve, managed by Herefordshire Wildlife Trust. Queenswood’s spectacular views and splendid dog- friendly walks are wonderful all year round, with an ideal picnic and play area and a charming café on site.
Plan your visit around nearby
Shobdon Food & Flying Festival in July. You might want to stay at beautiful Pearl Lake’s 5 Star leisure park or Lakes Edge with its stunning lakeside and woodland walks.
Find more information on these destinations further into this guide.
