horse riding town criers country show Take a trip to the north east of Herefordshire and you will find Bromyard, a stones
throw from the Worcestershire border.
This colourful town beats to the tune of its own drum and has become known as ‘The Town of Festivals’, due to the hard work it puts into creating events for both the community and the visitor to enjoy. They’re not satisfied with just one or two, in fact it could be said that Bromyard has a festival for everything including, Scarecrows, Town Criers, Hops, Jazz,
Folk and would you believe marmalade! Annual highlights include Nozstock music festival and the Bromyard Gala where you can enjoy steam engines, vintage cars, craft stalls, livestock and many country show activities.
You will find plenty to entertain you in and around Bromyard. If you love to walk
then get your boots out and explore two areas of outstanding national beauty, Bromyard Downs and Bringsty Common; 500 acres of common land with wonderful views. This is also great horse-riding country and there are several equestrian centres to saddle up at.
Famous for hop production, apples and pears, its hardly surprising that Herefordshire’s award-winning Wye Valley Brewery is located on the road between Bromyard and Hereford and the area is also the home to several micro breweries, cider, perry and juice producers oh and amazing artisan chocolate maker Sue Gilmore.
