indoors & outdoors rain or shine
There’s always something to do in Herefordshire. Whether you’re staying out in
the sticks or in a town or City centre. Here’s a little inspiration... Culture Vultures
Take a City walking tour around Hereford with one of the knowledgeable team from herefordwalkingtours.com Then spend the afternoon marveling
at the Mappa Mundi and Chained Library or Magna Carta in Hereford Cathedral.
Take a break for afternoon tea at lovely waterside Castle House Hotel and the stroll on to the Castle Green and over the bridge onto St George’s playing fields and a riverside walk.
History Buffs
You will find the history of cider as told from the original premises of the Bulmers factory enthralling at the Hereford Cider Museum just on the edge of Hereford City. Spend the morning there and then
visit a real artisan cider maker in rural Herefordshire and taste the real thing.
Something for Dads
A visit to the Waterworks Museum in Hereford is amazing, especially on a live steam day, where you can see the original machines in action that provided the community’s water from the River Wye, right up to how it’s done now.
Super Furry Animals
For a real family day out a visit to Wynne’s of Dinmore is irresistible. Lots of cuddly rabbits, alpacas, micro pigs, pygmy goats and more are on this farm park with café and gift shop near Leominster. We challenge you not to come home with one.
