King Arthur’s Caves, in the hills of
Great Doward, have housed several archeological discoveries including the remains of a Saber-toothed Tiger! Dotted along the banks are plenty of visitor attractions including a maze, butterfly zoo, oriental gardens and plenty of restaurants and pubs to quench your thirst in. This year from 29 April – 15 May is one of the largest events in the area; the Wye Valley River Festival; an amazing extravaganza of performance, song, art,
story and spectacle and many of the points along the River Wye, travelling right up into Herefordshire at Ross on Wye all the way down to Chepstow and where theWye ends. The event is kicked off in Hereford City with the Hereford River Carnival on 30 April and a colourful collection of floats and family activities. Come and celebrate our wonderful River Wye with us.
