Our UNESCO Global Geopark covers the western half of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
One of only two geoparks in Wales and 140 worldwide, Fforest Fawr celebrates a journey through time of 470 million years (so far). A landscape carved by ice and shaped by man, why not make 2019 the year you discover this place, its geology, history, wildlife and archaeology.
Follow a Geotrail onto Cribarth, see the Geopark in 3D at Craig­y­nos Country Park from September and make a date with us for GeoFest 2019, 25th May ­ 9th June.
