Welsh is an integral part of life in Wales and you often hear Welsh language spoken – particularly in the west of the Park. For some help with pronunciation and some useful phrases read on:
How to pronounce Welsh letters
C is always pronounced like the c in cat in English
Ch pronounced like the ch in the Scottish word loch Dd pronounced like th in English for example in “them” F pronounced like v in English ­ as in van
Ll there is nothing quite like it in English – the nearest
sound is cl as in clear
