UNIFORM
Usually, the second stewardess is responsible for organizing, issuing, inventorying and ordering our uniform supplies. It is very important to get new crew uniform sizes as soon as possible, as we usually keep a low stock of most things, and will need to order items in.
We are waiting for a uniform delivery from Dolphinwear, Liquid and Event. We tried to streamline the companies we use but couldn’t find everything we wanted from one company. Annoying but its not too bad. The inventory is currently up to date and once the deliveries come through with the white polo shirts, dubarry shoes, grey off charter t shirts, overalls, epaulets, grey on charter shorts, on charter belts and off charter belts it can be updated. The boat runs on minimum stock. Please create a Purchase Order of items needed, with potential quotes from the supplier and forward this to CAPTAIN who will send it weekly to the office (On a Thursday). (PO’s will be discussed in a future chapter). They will in turn, decline or give the go ahead with the PO you put forward.
We also just got some grey water shoes from Decathalon which the boys can wear on charter when they are doing water sports. Saving the grey dubarrys for dry daytime charter uniform.
All crew are issued uniform on arrival – they should confirm receipt, sizes and quantities with the Second Stewardess who will file this information on pc and print out for the uniform file. We have Issue Forms for each crew member, see example below.
When crew leave – this issue form should be compared with all uniform returned by the crew member before they leave. If items are not returned this needs to be deducted from their salary.
