This year make it a real Wye Valley winter, with a look at what’s new in south Herefordshire.
Bedding in nicely to its new owners of almost two years now, Glewstone Court’s wine pairing dinners come highly recommended. Always with an entertaining sommelier and a creative menu from Head Chef Vicky Lyons their next ones are 4 November and 2 December. Brooks Country House (the new name of Pengethley Manor) has undergone a lavish refurbishment and is a perfect venue for seasonal dining and parties, or indeed a mini break.
Look out for their new beauty rooms coming soon. The well-known Chase Hotel is a stalwart on the
entertainment scene, standing in its regency splendour central to town. December sees some great themed party nights and this is the place to pop your New Year’s cork.

in organic products and has an excellent veg box service, and Pengethley Farm Shop loves its rare breed meats, stocks the perfect cheese board, artisan breads and local produce galore.
