Herefordshire is renowned for its wonderful, rural landscape, rich, fertile red soil and its wealth of award winning artisan producers. Inspired by cider heritage, hop farming and fruit growing, producing cider to cassis to sparkling wines, artisan makers are leading the way.
The awards just keep coming for
Oliver’s Cider and Perry. A third generation cider maker, Tom Oliver still makes cider and perry the traditional Herefordshire way at his Cider House in Ocle Pychard. With a shop on site open Saturdays
10 – 4pm, pop by and taste the products which are now being enjoyed across the world.
Frome Valley Vineyard, an award winning producer of sparkling and still wines, stands on the banks of the River Frome at Paunton. It is a popular venue for tours and wine tastings and can accommodate up to twenty people in a group, with tips on growing your own vines. Their shop is open from Tuesday – Thursday for wines and gifts.
