Escape to this spectacular riverside garden and be absorbed
by natural beauty. Bordered by the River Wye, The Weir Garden sits within unspoilt Herefordshire countryside. It is managed in a natural way to create a varied habitat for wildlife.
Enjoy the stunning riverside gardens all year; carpets of spring bulbs give way to beautiful wild flowers in the summer, then the colours change again in the autumn. Meander through the peaceful and tranquil woodland gardens or stroll into the walled garden and glasshouse.
Designed by previous owner Roger Parr in the 1920’s, the garden contains interesting Roman archaeology and the
largest standing piece of Roman masonry in Herefordshire
and Worcestershire, thought to be part of a villa.
The Weir is to be enjoyed by all, with regular family activities happening during school breaks. A self-service tea tent offers cakes and light refreshments, or why not bring a picnic and enjoy it on the deckchairs by the river.
Open Daily until 4 Nov ‘18. Weekends only 10th Nov - 9th Dec. admission Normal admission charges apply members
and under 5’s go free.
