prepared for the "final extraction."
"Begin," The Director commanded. "Every last
detail. Every memory. Every secret. I want it all."
He had contained the firestorm. The media would
eventually move on. The public would forget. And
Evelyn Hayes, and her dangerous little cure, would
vanish without a trace. Just like Finch.
He smiled. Helix Pharma would emerge stronger,
more dominant than ever.
But he didn't see the glimmer of resolve in
Evelyn’s eyes. He didn't hear the hum that still
resonated within her, a silent promise of resistance.
And he had no idea that Liam O’Connell, a man
he had dismissed as a "minor inconvenience," was
already on his way, bringing with him a force that
even they might not be able to contain.
