He'd spent fifteen years in this room, crafting the elegant
fictions that kept the world spinning. "Chief among those
fictions was 'Life-Link,' a failed bio-regulator project that
Henry had single-handedly resurrected from a PR
graveyard. He had taken a glitchy, medical-grade patch
designed to stimulate the vagus nerve and rebranded it as a
'miracle of modern wellness'.
