Prologue:
Divine Spark Rising
In Reykjavik, a climate scientist stands up at a
government meeting and says, “I can’t fake the
numbers anymore.”
In New Orleans, a jazz player stops mid-song,
lowers his horn, and tells the crowd, “I’m done
chasing gigs. I’m going back to teach kids.”
In Berlin, a teenage gamer shuts off her stream,
walks into the kitchen, and says to her dad, “I need
help.”
None of them had a plan. None of them knew
what would happen next. They just hit that point,
that line you can’t keep crossing, and they chose.
Not the choice you make in a grocery aisle. Not
the illusion of options dressed up as freedom. But
the choice you make when you realize you’ve been
trapped for years. The choice that sees through the
