   In Memoriam
Gerry Gutierrez was born on February 22, 1923 and passed away on her birthday this year. Mrs. Gutierrez, whose husband was Dr. Albert R. Gutierrez, served as Presi- dent of the HCMA Alliance in 1982, but she did not stop there. She also served as Par- liamentarian, and was very active in mul- tiple Alliance endeavors including “Breast Cancer Awareness.” She lead Alliance mem-

Mrs. Gutierrez was instrumental in making arrangements with Sears and Kmart to help mastectomy patients with fittings for undergarments. Another project dear to her heart was the Evelyn Shaver Scholarships which awarded schol- arships to students studying in medical fields. Mrs. Gutierrez is survived by her four children and their families, many of whom are in the medical field, which made her very proud. Donations can be made in Gerry Gutierrez’s name to: Metropolitan Minis- tries and Coventry House.
