Nurturing hearts and minds during Book Week - ‘Read, Grow, Inspire’
Last week, our school was buzzing with excitement as we celebrated Book Week under the theme ‘Read, Grow, Inspire’. As always, the event was
a resounding success. Students and staff alike embraced the power of reading to broaden horizons and ignite imagination.
In a world full of stories, lessons, and wisdom,
the Word of God stands as the ultimate source of inspiration and growth. While we certainly enjoy the wonders of fiction and non-fiction books, let us not forget the profound lessons we can take from the Bible, which guide us every day.
The Bible has the power to nourish our minds and guide us in our journey of faith. Its pages hold truths of hope, love, redemption, and transformation that resonate across generations. Just as we learn
and develop through reading various genres, the Bible provides a timeless source of wisdom and guidance, helping us navigate the complexities of life with grace and purpose.
Psalm 119:105 reminds us, “Your word is a lamp
to my feet and a light to my path.” Just as books illuminate the worlds within their pages, God’s Word shines brightly, revealing the path we should walk. It offers wisdom, comfort, and strength, nurturing our spiritual growth in ways that no other book can.
Here at Harvest, we are truly blessed. Our students have the privilege not only to learn from books written by excellent authors but also to learn from the divine teachings of our Saviour. The Bible serves as the foundation of our faith, providing valuable life lessons and spiritual insight. Through its verses, we find guidance for our journey and inspiration for our purpose.
Let us continue to embrace the theme of this year’s Book Week, ‘Read, Grow, Inspire’, not only through the pages of the books we read but also through the timeless wisdom of the Bible. May our faith grow stronger, our minds expand wider, and our hearts be filled with the inspiration of God’s Word.
