CHAPTER 21 - ANDERSON RICE
This ended up in the Supreme Court of Victoria. During discovery they found a file note I had written which said ‘he didn’t need stretcher bearers he needed pall bearers’’. The judge asked me to explain what I meant so I did explain. The judge said he thought I was a bit harsh but at the end of the day we did win the case.
Like many small Victorian commercial law firms Anderson Rice is no more. Most of the business drifted towards Sydney. Also, one of their major sources of business was workers compensation, which as we know was nationalised by the State government.
