To view a larger version of the clip art thumbnail prior to downloading it into your worksheet, you click its View Larger button (with the magni- fying glass with the plus sign in it icon) in the lower-right corner of the thumbnail. When you do, Excel displays a larger version of the thumb- nail in the center of the Insert Pictures dialog box while blurring all the other clip art thumbnails in the background. When you select any clip art thumbnail — regular size or enlarged — Excel also displays the size of the image in pixels under its major keywords in the lower-left corner of the Insert Pictures dialog box.
3. To insert one of the clip art images displayed in the Insert Pictures dialog box into your worksheet, double-click its thumbnail image or click it followed by the Insert button.
When you insert a clip art image into the worksheet, it is automatically selected (indicated by the sizing handles around its perimeter and its rota- tion handle at the top). To deselect the clip art image and set it in the work- sheet, click anywhere in the worksheet outside of the image.
Downloading images on the Web
In addition to downloading clip art from the Microsoft Office.com web-
site, you can also download pictures from the web using the Bing search engine. To download an image with Bing, open the Insert Pictures dialog
box (Alt+NF) and then select the Search Bing text box, where you type the keyword for the types of images you want to locate. After you press Enter or click the Search button (with the magnifying glass icon), the Insert Pictures dialog box displays a scrollable list of thumbnails for images matching your keyword. (See Figure 2-7.) You can then click a thumbnail in the list to dis- play a short description plus the size (in pixels) of the image in the lower-left corner of the Insert Pictures dialog box.
