Spring 2018
BELLA VISTA NEWS
Welcome
By Janice McNair
Hi everyone,
Springtime is the best time of year with the gardens blossoming and
the weather perfect for those outdoor activities! We have survived Roma, Pat & David - Orchids Festival
the flu/gastro season with no reported cases to date, but the news
reports are stating that the virus is supposed to hang around a little
longer. To continue keeping our residents and staff safe, please do
not visit if you or your family members are sick. Please follow the
guidelines of the Registered Nurse and the Public Health Unit.
The Leisure & Lifestyle Activities Program has expanded with the
introduction of Francois, our new Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator. Residents at the Ettamogah Outing
(We now often have standing room only at many of the activities!)
Some of the new activities include seated Zumba classes, the Men’s
Group, “the Manly Times”, and our themed days. In Camellia we
have introduced the “Laugh Doctor" which involves music and fun
and has been well received by residents.
Our Resident and Relative meetings are now held on the third
Tuesday of the month. I would like to remind all family members that
you are very welcome at this meeting if you would like to attend. We
are about to extend our family with another staff intake to fill our
ever-growing care needs, so like Spring we are also growing and Mary enjoying the Dance Tutor Session
blossoming.

As always, I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work,
dedication and ongoing support.
