Winter 2017
WILLIAM CAPE NEWS
Welcome
By Cathy Blomquist
There certainly has been a chill in the air the last few mornings to
remind us that winter has arrived. Most of our residents and staff
have received their annual influenza vaccinations by now to give Eva Scott & family
us all the best chance of preventing the flu and associated illness.
It is with mixed feelings that I let you know that our Client Services
Manager, Christine Wallace has tendered her resignation.
Christine will be sorely missed but we wish her all the very best in
the future and thank her for the valuable contribution she has
made to care and services at William Cape Gardens over the past
nine years. Christine’s resignation means that there will be some
changes and new faces to the Client Services team over the
coming weeks. I am pleased to announce that Liz McDonald will
be moving from her role in Reception and has accepted the Mavis making chocolates
position of Client Services Manager. Congratulations to Liz on her
new appointment.
Anyone visiting over the past few weeks will have noticed a
friendly new face in our Reception area. We welcome Diane
Ferrington to William Cape Gardens. From June, Diane and Linda
will be covering Reception with Diane working Monday, Tuesday
and Friday and Linda working Wednesday and Thursday each
week. Your patience and understanding is appreciated during this
period of transition as Liz and Diane settle into their new roles.
We are continually looking for opportunities to improve our care Maddie at Grand 'Kids' Day
and services and your feedback is invaluable. I am always happy to
meet with you to discuss any concerns you may have.
With warm wishes
Cathy Blomquist, Director of Care Services
