Winter 2018

                                                               WILLIAM CAPE NEWS

                                  Welcome

                                  By Cathy Blomquist

Welcome to our Winter Newsletter. It has been a busy few weeks at
William Cape Gardens. We closed our Kitchen for a week at the
beginning of May to complete some major maintenance work. This
work included installation of a new kitchen floor, replacement of wall Grand Kids Day 2018
tiles and repainting. While the work was being done, our food services
operated from a hired mobile kitchen. Everything went smoothly and
to schedule thanks to Brian, Robyn and their teams, and we were very
happy to move back into our new-look Kitchen after only five days.
Thanks to all our residents and families for their patience and
         understanding during the work.

During May we said goodbye to Taryn Robinson our Clinical Care
Manager who has relocated to the mid North Coast. We wish Taryn all
the very best in the future and thank her for the positive contribution Grand Kids Day 2018
she made to clinical care during her time at William Cape Gardens.
With Taryn’s resignation we are pleased to introduce you to Linda
Matthews who has commenced as our new Clinical Care Manager.
Linda is a Registered Nurse with a wealth of experience working in
clinical compliance, management, education and quality roles in aged
care. Linda is looking forward to meeting you all and building strong
care partnerships with our residents and families in the coming
         months.

As has been the case in previous years, William Cape Gardens has
again this year offered influenza vaccination to our staff. We have Our New Kitchen Floor at William Cape
                                                                            Gardens
already held one vaccination clinic for our staff and have another
planned before the end of May. Most of our residents have received
their annual influenza vaccinations by now as well and together this
will give us all the best chance of preventing the flu and associated
illness. Until next time with warm wishes.

         With warm wishes

Juliet at the Ken Duncan Gallery Visit
