Autumn 2017
BELLA VISTA NEWS
Welcome
By Deb Cormack
Welcome to Autumn,
It is quite a magical time of the year! Here at Bella Vista Gardens we
too are creating magic watching our residence taking shape as we Denis Ten Pin Bowling
are now over one third full and Reflections Wellness Centre is open
and operating. It is great meeting our new residents, families and
friends and getting to know you all personally and providing great
care and services to you all.
We have many events forecast for the coming few months including
'Grand' Kids Day, a visit to the Powerhouse Museum to see the
Egyptian Mummies (I want to go to this!), lunch at the Deckhouse
Woolwich, a visit to the Spirit of Anzac Centenary Experience, a visit
to the Orchid Societies “Orchids out West” and exclusive bus access
to the Opera House steps to see the lights of Vivid. This is as well as Shirley & Noel enjoying morning tea
our regular events including continuing with our ballroom dancing
classes, many entertainers, our bus trips, card making classes and
lots of competitive games and fun. I encourage residents and their
families to join us.
Before the end of this financial year we can expect an unannounced
visit from the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency. This is normal
and expected as every aged care facility must have at least one
unannounced visit each year and we are yet to have ours. You may
have assessors ask you questions about the care and services and Gosford Classic Car Museum day trip
you may see them watching the staff when they are providing care
and services. This is our opportunity to shine, so feel free to provide
comments and information. I have just started planting my bulbs
getting ready for a blaze of colour. I hope this season brings you all
lots of “gold” and happiness.
With warm wishes
