The Argentinian highlands offer us an unusual mineral environment at more than 9,800 ft. where we let ourselves be enchanted by these contrasting landscapes, its thou- sand-year-old history and the welcome of its inhabitants! The Iguazu Falls are a must-see on a trip to Latin America, an emblematic place charged with a singular emotion and a magnificent step in this journey. It is said to be the most "European" city in Latin America and there is a lot of truth to that. Sexy and lively, Buenos Aires also has a melancholy touch, which makes it unforgettable.
Day 1: Buenos Aires
Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, we make a panoramic tour of the city. We start in Plaza de Mayo, scenery of the most important events of the country since 1810, to then continue to the neighbor- hood of La Boca and finish in Palermo and Recoleta. In the evening, we attend a dinner show to appreciate the magnetism of tango. [D]
Day 2: Buenos Aires, Salta
In the afternoon, the city awaits us to explore Salta by a walk through its streets, churches and colonial build-
ings. During the tour, we visit the MAAM (Museum of High Mountain Archaeology), which is in charge of sharing and conserving the ‘Niños del Llullaillaco’, one of the most important archeological discovers in the last decades. [B]
Day 3: Salta, Cachi, Cafayate
Departure from Salta to start our trip through the Calchaquíes Valleys. During the trip, we stop at Del Obispo Slope, del Tin Tin Straight and Los Cardones National Park. In Cachi, we enjoy f ree time for lunch (not included) and walk around the town. Then, we continue towards Cafayate through National Route 40, passing by enchanting towns such as Seclantas, Molinos and Angastaco, apart from the amazing De Las Flechas Gorge, which is a curious rocky formation. Arrival at Cafayate. [B]
Day 4: Cafayate, Salta
In the morning, we explore the city, The Vine and Wine Museum and a winery. After lunch (not included), departure towards Salta visiting De Las Conchas Gorge, characterized by its curious formations, such as the
Amphitheatre and the Devil´s Throat, both consequence of wind and water erosion. Arrival in Salta and accommo- dation. [B]
Day 5: Salta, Purmamarca
Early departure traveling along Del Toro Gorge to reach the town of San Antonio de los Cobres and discover part of the route that the Train of the Clouds used to do. After lunch (not included), we continue along the Puna to reach Salinas Grandes Salt Flat, the third largest in the world. Then, we
