Providing Fascinating Travel Experiences
Whyvisit Antarctica?
Antarctica is a destination that may seem inaccessible in many ways. If you're lucky enough to make it there someday, see what awaits you in these icy lands and seas to discover on an Antarctic cruise.
A unique and moving landscape
This is the uniqueness of this type of destination, the environment and the scenery that you will be able to observe will never be the same twice. Because the ice melts, recedes, deforms and reforms with the tempera- ture and the winds, this landscape that you will see will be unique, truly unique over time. The show is everywhere! On the land of ice, on the sea where icebergs and blocks of ice indulge in a continuous broom ... And that's without considering the importance of light, which will color the natural elements with surprising hues. Fans of photography will find a sublime playground and expression here, as will contemplatives. Nature reigns supreme
The majestic blocks of ice would not be so splendid if they did not evolve in an equally sumptuous setting. Passengers who visit this polar region for the first time obviously fall under the spell of these mountains from views that come close to the sky and the clouds that pass through them. And if these majestic elements seem beyond your reach, look closer. You will have great chances to cross the path of colonies of penguins. They are not necessarily fierce and you can easily immortal- ize these moments. The sea will also be a place of beautiful encounters with the ballets of whales which can pass just a few yards from your dingy. Few of the expedition cruises will leave you with such memories! A land of history and incredible destinies
It is almost 2 centuries since the first man observed the white conti- nent for the first time. And as so often when it comes to major discover- ies, the main party did not want to go. It was the capricious weather that drove Briton William Smith's ship to these unexplored coasts. Spaniards, British, Russians, French ... set sail for Antarctica in the years that followed. And it was especially at the end of the 19th century that the conquest of this pristine land accelerated with hordes of scientists from all over the world. It took nearly a century for the first humans to officially reach the magnetic South Pole. As you can imagine, the exploration conditions were difficult for many expeditions. Human dramas and the feeling of conquest have coexisted for decades. Remnants of these epics inhabit these inhospitable lands, and they are the subject of many visits for modern ship passengers.
