Oman. The villages of Saiq, Wadi Bani Habib (the village of the old houses) and Al Ain dot the landscape. We depart for the Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating red and white sea of sand and dunes rising upto 650 feet, which are host to a variety of flora and fauna. The ever-changing patterns of the dunes are a photographer’s delight. Dinner and overnight at The 1000 Nights Camp. [B/L/D
Day 5: Wahiba Sands, Wadi Bani Khalid, Sur
Enjoy a bit of dune driving in the Wahiba Sands before driving a few miles and turn off the main road to the scenic Wadi Bani Khalid with its deep blue pools of water f ringed by the date palms which is an ideal spot to relax or enjoy a refreshing swim. Proceed to RasAlJinz forcheckinatthehotel.At night we take a short walk to the beach escorted by trained guides to
watch the turtles nesting on the sands. Dinner and overnight in Sur. [B/L/D]
Day6: Sur–Muscat
Visit Sur’s fish jetty, dhow factory and theSanseelaFort. StopatFinsbeach foraswim. OurnextstopistheBimah Sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with blue green water at the bottom. On clear sunny days while driving along the coast one might chance to see sharks in the deep blue water or fleet footed Gazelle sprint across the landscape. Continue to Wadi Arbayeen with its ref reshing deep pools of water set among the date palms. In mid-afternoon, return to Muscat for overnight. [B/L]
Day7: Muscat,USA
At the appointed time you’ll be met and transferred to Muscat airport to board your return flight home.
